Lovely Projects!

Join us for the Valentine's Youth Party for ages 6 & up. 

Date: Saturday February 7, 2015
Time: 10am-12pm or 2pm-4pm
Fee: $25.00 per child per session
Each child will decorate a pre-painted and glittered picture frame and make two Valentine's Cards.  In addition to the craft the party includes:

• Fresh popcorn
• 1 juice box
• 8 ounces of candy from the Candy Buffet
• Game

All supplies and materials are included. Guardian must remain with child during the party.

Love banner can be personalized.

Page INSPIRATION
I spent Saturday making some FUN pages for Valentine's Day.  Are you into washi tape?  I really like it, and it is simple to use.  Plus, you can use a lot or use a little.  Most rolls of tape can make dozens of cards.  Washi tape is also great for children to use as decorating on paper, projects, wood, etc.

Here are some inspiration pieces.
I pulled out items that I have been wanting to use for some time.  My goal was to use layers and different techniques on one page.

I used quite a few items on this layout.  

To make your own you will need:

Assorted washi/ Trendy Tape

Shimmer Spray

Bo Bunny's glitter paste and reusable stencils

Cut out hearts

Doily

Rhinestones/pearls/sequins

Stickers

Baker's Twine

Chipboard

I randomly sprayed some Tattered Angels Viva Pink shimmer spray on the base page.  After the spray dried, I spread the lovely silver glitter paste on the paper using a palette knife and the reusable stencil.  I then added layers of the washi tape.  Next I cut down my photo mattes and started to add some die cuts and other embellishments.  I have been wanting to try to incorporate a doily into my layout for some time, and I went for it.   I really like the different textures that were incorporated into the page.  The page is on display in the store stop and see it for yourself.

On this layout, I edged only parts of the white page.  I used red ink here and there to make the white pop a little bit from the black base page.  I really like the appearance of the random ink edging.

Mini-Make Over

     The new paper racks arrived yesterday, and I am knee deep in putting them together.  I had to ask my husband for some guidance, and I am using the drill on my own.  The shelves are not assembled, because we hit a snag, but they will be up and filled with paper by the end of Saturday.  I managed to open the box to the popcorn maker too, but that is going to have to wait until I assemble the paper racks.  Can't have too many unfinished projects going on at once.  Do you know that feeling?

Lovely Make and Take

Come and use a new product and make something for FREE!!!  So excited to be offering a FREE Valentine's card make and take on January 29th from 10am until 7pm.  You must call ahead at least 24 hours in advance to reserve a kit.  I want to ensure there is enough for everyone.

The featured products of the Make and Take are Bo Bunny's Glitter Paste and their Stickable Stencils.  The both of them together are so much fun to use, and after the Glitter Paste is dry, it looks AWESOME!!  I can't wait to use it in a layout.  The silver paste is perfect for a Sparkling Snow layout.

Some of the "make-over" on the store started this past week, and the popcorn machine is waiting to be assembled.  Love the smell of FRESH HOT Popcorn!! Yummy!

Classes for Winter Break are on the schedule and spots are limited.  There is a morning session and an afternoon session.  Cost per child per session is $10.00.

Youth Valentine's Craft Party

Join us for our FIRST themed Youth Craft Party on February 7th.  Morning session is 10am until 12pm and afternoon session is 2pm until 4pm.  Cost is $25.00 per child.

Updates & Crock Pot Crop Information

The store got a mini make over earlier in the week.  Come and see what was done.  Still waiting on a few more paper racks that will be filled with lovely paper soon!!!  The popcorn machine will be assembled this upcoming week.

CROCK POT CROP!!!

Do you have a favorite Crock Pot dish?  Make your dish and share with fellow croppers at the Crock Pot Crop on Saturday January 24th at 9am until 10pm.  We would love for you to share your recipe too!

The crop fee of $35.00 includes:

Tuesday NO Frills Cropping and Winter Break Activities

Have you crafted anything in 2015?  

What are you waiting for? Come crop at the store on most Tuesdays in January and February for $5.00.  The No Frills Tuesday Crops is an inexpensive way to get out of the house, be creative, and socialize.  There will be one Tuesday a month that the crop will not be offered, because I have to fulfill my monthly Coast Guard Reserve obligation. Check the calendar for the dates.  While you are at it, check out all the fun classes that are scheduled.  I will continue to add classes for February.  

WINTER BREAK activities:  I am so excited to announce 3 youth classes during the week of February 16, 2015.  In anticipation of the winter break, I have designed some cost effective and creative classes.  Each day will be a different class, and there will be a morning and afternoon session.  The cost per session is $10.00 and includes all supplies and materials.  For the safety of your child or children, I am asking that an adult remain in the store during the class.  Please register and pay at least 24 hours in advance.  Seats are limited to 8 children per session.

Crock Pot Crop is on Saturday January 24th at 9:00 am.
Crop fee of $35.00 includes:
--13 hours of NO Frills cropping
--Wi-fi
--Bagels and donuts in the morning
--Soda and water with dinner
--Dessert
--Use of our library
--Hot chocolate
Bring your favorite Crock Pot dish and the recipe to share with others.  What a great time to get some new recipes.

Time to Craft

Artistic friends,

Happy New Year!!! I have completed my work in Connecticut with the Coast Guard, and I am ready to be back in the store.  I have loads of ideas for the New Year.  I hope I can fulfill all the ideas in one year.  

There are some FUN events planned for the rest of January, and I will be providing children's birthday to the list of services we provide.  Additionally, I print custom stationary and invitations.  Stop in to see some samples.
