Fall Happenings!

Is the nice earthy Fall colors and crisp air welcoming to all of you?  Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the colors, the warmth, and coziness of the season.  Last Fall I was working in Connecticut and extremely busy with little time to enjoy the season.  This year, I am trying to enjoy as much of it as possible.

With that said, I was offered a wonderful opportunity this past February to fill a full time position for three years up in Connecticut.  I have been waiting over 6 months for a date to start the contract.  There has been a lot of back and forth and uncertainty.  Due to the uncertainty, I made a lot changes in dates for classes and store hours over the past six months.  I am very sorry about not being able to offer regular store hours.  I am currently updating the hours on a weekly basis (see below).  I also want to thank several of you for being extremely patient with me while I sort out the move.   As soon as I have a final answer, I will post an update.

In the meantime, I have adjusted the calendar on the website.  Classes and events that are scheduled for the weekend, will remain in place.  The store will be open if a class or event has participants.   Otherwise, please call prior to visiting.  I regularly update the store hours on Facebook as well.

Here are the hours for the remainder of the week of 10/19/15:

New Kits:
I am still designing layouts and mini albums, and have a wonderful NEW Fall mini album designed.  I am currently packaging it to sell as a kit.  Plus, there is a class offered on November 14th at 10:30am.  The Fall album is 7 pages, holds over 30 assorted sized photos, and features Echo Park's The Story of Fall paper collection.  Here is a sneak peak of the album.

Christmas Cards

If you haven't already started to make your Christmas Cards, now is the time to start making them.  We have loads of card making supplies available in the store.  Plus, we have card making classes, one is on the schedule, and at least one more is being designed.  

Here is the info on the Washi tape and Bling card class.

Join us for a Crazy Washi Time with Queen & Co Trendy Tape and Bling.  The 20 card class is full of different mediums.  During the class you will use Trendy Tape, bling, Bo Bunny's Glitter Paste, glitter tape, baker's twine, Viva Decor's Inka Gold, and ribbon.  Each person can stamp their holiday greetings on the cards from our selection of holiday stamps.

Make 4 cards of 5 different designs and leave with loads of washi tape and bling.  The cards are pre-cut and scored, and most of the paper used will be pre-cut.  Additional card bases and envelopes will be available for purchase as well.

Make a "Spooky" Halloween Banner featuring Carta Bella's All Hallow Eve's paper collection.  You can change the word with a different 6 letter word.  Class includes: pre-cut banner, Queen & Co. bubbles, glitter die cuts, ribbon.  During the class you will assemble the rosettes.

Christmas Cards

I am smitten with Queen & Company's Trendy Tape Boxes and Bling Books.  So much, that we are offering a Christmas card class featuring both products.  I have one more card to design for the class, but the dates the class will be offered are November 13th and November 15th.  Additional information about the class will be released at the end of the week.  Mark your calendar.  Seats are limited, and you don't want to miss out.  Each person will make 20 A2 cards and leave with TONS of bling and tape.

 

In addition to adding the Christmas Card class to the calendar, a NEW Fall mini album is coming soon too, and it is stunning.  Here is a sneak peak of the base album.  The class is scheduled for November 14th at 10:30am.  More information will be posted after the album is completely designed.

***Please note, I rearranged some classes in November to accommodate all the projects in a timely manner.  Several classes will also be available as a kit.  If there is a class you are interested in, but the class dates don't work for you, please call.  I will try my hardest to make arrangements for you to make the project.

Halloween Mini Album:
Date: Friday, September 25, 2015
Time: 6pm
Fee: $38.00
Chipboard pages will come pre-covered with the card stock.  The 5 page mini album holds a minimum of 15 assorted sized photos and includes a pocket.  Must provide your own black ink, blending tool, craft knife, basic tool kit, paper tape, sanding block w/ sand paper, and liquid adhesive.  Call at least 48 hours in advance to register and pay.

Back 2 School Mini Album:
Date: Saturday, September 26, 2015
Time: 10:30am
Fee: $58.00
The colorful school themed 10 page mini album holds a minimum of 37 assorted sized photographs.   In the class you will adhere the paper to the pages, sand, ink, and decorate the album.  Must provide your own basic tool kit, liquid adhesive, paper tape, sanding block w/ sand paper, craft knife, brown ink, and ink blending tool.

Crops:

FREE Cropping on Wednesdays and Sundays in September.  Call at least 24 hours in advance to register.

CROPTOBER:

Date: Friday, October 2, 2015

Time: Friday at 1pm- 10pm

          Saturday at 9am - 11pm

          Sunday at 9am- 6pm

Fee: $60.00 for the weekend  or $25.00 per day

If you register for the entire weekend, you will receive the Queen & Co. Halloween Trendy Tape box with Trendy Tape.  All attendees will receive a FREE handcrafted Coffin Party Favor.  Snacks will be provided.  Plus, bagels and pastries will be available in the mornings.

Seats are limited, call at least 24 hours in advance to register.

What will be in the Party Favors?

TIP:

Are your scissors a little gummy, gluey, or tacky?  Spray a little bit of Goo Gone on a paper towel, and very carefully, wipe the scissor blades with the moistened paper towel to remove the adhesive.  Make sure you also wipe the blades off after all the glue is gone to remove any excess Goo Gone residue.  Don't want to ruin your beautiful paper with Goo Gone.
